Treat Yourself: Cowshed SPA at Soho Beach House

At times a massage may feel like an unaffordable luxury, but research suggests it’s a necessity and I couldn’t agree more.

Soothe your mind. If you can imagine sprawling out on a massage table with soothing tunes and warm oil, it’s easy to see why massage produces such tremendous mood-boosting benefits.

Personally, I don’t love a full day spa experience I like to feel relaxed, have my service and be on my merry way. There is nothing I hate more then sitting in a waiting room with nuts, ginger tea and magazines that have expired for years (aka Brittany Spears on the cover.) At Cowshed you will not be surrounded by unsanitary snacks and old glossies but instead the latest issue of Ocean Drive. Sit back, relax and enjoy the serene decor.

Before your treatment the therapist will have you smell various oils, I always go for something with lavender.

As a member of the house maybe I am a bit bias when it comes to “my comfort zone” but overall my entire experience is always sublime. I can honestly say, that I am in total relaxation mode before any of my services. If you’re like me you can never relax in a massage. It doesn’t matter where I am in the world (even a deserted island) I can never relax. My mind is constantly running, I’m thinking about my emails, the weather, what I’ll be having for lunch that day and I hope they don’t get oil in my hair. There is something about Cowshed that just relaxes me. The scents, colors and botanical ingredients in all of the products truly have me rejuventated. It is also one of the only spas where I am excited to purchase products following my service.

I am obviously a product junkie which means If your selling it, I most likely already have it. Which is also the case here, I have many cowshed products but I can’t get enough. The full size, mini’s and even the essential oils for traveling. Some of my favorite products include the Wild Cow Invigorating Bath & Shower Gel with lemongrass, ginger and rosemary. It’s a must in the morning when I need to wake up. The Lazy Cow Soothing Body Lotion with jasmine, chamomile and sandalwood. You can definitely smell the light hints of jasmine and chamomile — and I especially like that the sandalwood scent is not as prominent as I had expected. My body loves this lotion and soaks into your skin really well. I also feel moisturized when I wake up in the morning, which is a huge bonus because some lotions do not offer that and tend to lose their moisturizing power and benefits through the night. Lastly, I highly recommend the Pocket Cow Bath & Body Set for travel.

All in all, this is the perfect place to go for an indulgent and rejuvenating experience.
